MatchBD Terms & Conditions

PLEASE READ BEFORE REGISTERING

After a match is made, if any user wishes to meet at a place other than a restaurant or venue onboarded by MatchBD, or at a location not affiliated with us in any way, MatchBD shall not be liable for any incident whatsoever. If any user shares their contact number or personal details anywhere other than through the MatchBD chat box, or outside of our policy, the company will not be liable for any incident. We strongly recommend meeting at busy, public locations during daylight hours and informing a family member of your plans.

1. INTRODUCTION AND ACCEPTANCE

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you ("User", "Member", "you") and MatchBD ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), a matrimonial technology platform registered and operated under the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

By registering for, accessing, or using the MatchBD mobile application, website, or any related services (collectively, the "Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Credit Policy, and Community Guidelines, all of which are incorporated herein by reference.

If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not register for or use the Platform.

2. DEFINITIONS

For the purposes of these Terms:

"Match" means a connection facilitated between two Members through the Platform's matching engine, search, interest requests, or mutual discovery.
"Match Number" means non-cash value held in a User's MatchBD account balance, redeemable solely within the Platform for unlocking accepted matches, in accordance with the Refund and Credit Policy.
"Gift Card" means a one-time package purchase presented in the app as a redeemable card. Redeeming a Gift Card activates the corresponding Package with all its match numbers and features.
"Onboarded Venue" means a restaurant, gift shop, event management firm, wedding venue, or other designated partner location that has entered into a partnership or affiliation agreement with MatchBD as an approved venue for Members to meet or access related services.
"Package" means a one-time, non-recurring prepaid bundle of match numbers and features (Classic, Premium, Gold, Platinum, or VIP) purchased through the Platform. Packages are not subscriptions and do not auto-renew.
"Platform Chat" means the official in-app messaging system provided by MatchBD for communication between matched Members.
"Services" means all features, functions, tools, consultations, and facilities made available through the Platform.
"Content" means any text, photographs, video, audio, biodata, documents, or other material uploaded, submitted, or transmitted by Users through the Platform.
"Personal Law" means the religious or customary law applicable to a person by virtue of their faith or community under the laws of Bangladesh.
"Free Match Limit" means the number of accepted matches a User may unlock at no cost, as configured by MatchBD from time to time.
"Daily Send Limit" means the maximum number of match requests a User may send per calendar day (Bangladesh Standard Time), as configured by MatchBD from time to time.

3. ELIGIBILITY

3.1. General Requirements

To register and use the Platform, you must:

(a) Be of legal marriageable age under applicable law (currently 21 years for males and 18 years for females under the Child Marriage Restraint Act, 2017);

(b) Be legally competent to enter into a binding contract under the Contract Act, 1872;

(d) Not be subject to any legal prohibition against marriage under any applicable law;

(e) Not have been previously removed, suspended, or banned from the Platform; and

(f) Not have any conviction for sexual offences, violent crimes, fraud, human trafficking, or offences involving moral turpitude.

3.2. Married Persons -- Conditional Eligibility

3.2.1. A person who is currently married may register and maintain a profile on MatchBD, provided that the Personal Law applicable to that person permits a subsequent or concurrent marriage.

3.2.2. A currently married User must:

(a) Declare their existing marriage in the marital status field by selecting "Currently Married";

(b) Disclose the number of existing spouses and dependent children, if applicable;

(d) Confirm that their applicable Personal Law permits the intended marriage;

(e) Obtain all permissions, consents, and approvals required by their Personal Law (e.g., for Muslim Users, compliance with Section 6 of the Muslim Family Laws Ordinance, 1961); and

(f) Comply with all financial maintenance, consent, and notification requirements imposed by their Personal Law.

3.2.3. MatchBD may require documentary evidence of eligibility for a subsequent marriage before verifying or activating a profile.

3.2.4. The marital status disclosure will be visible on the profile and cannot be hidden using privacy settings.

3.2.5. Failure to truthfully disclose an existing marriage constitutes fraud and will result in immediate and permanent termination of the account without refund. MatchBD reserves the right to notify any affected Members and, where appropriate, to report the matter to relevant authorities.

3.2.6. MatchBD does not endorse, promote, or facilitate polygamous marriage. The inclusion of Section 3.2 is solely to comply with the diverse Personal Laws of Bangladesh. Responsibility for the legality, validity, permissions, and consequences of any such marriage rests entirely with the Users concerned.

3.2.7. Where a User's Personal Law mandates monogamy (e.g., Christian Users under the Christian Marriage Act, 1872), these monogamy requirements override Section 3.2, and the User must not register while currently married.

3.3. Divorced and Widowed Persons

Divorced and widowed persons are fully eligible to register, provided they disclose their marital history truthfully.

3.4. Third-Party Registration

A third party (parent, guardian, sibling, or authorised family member) may register on behalf of a prospective Member, provided that the prospective Member meets all eligibility criteria, expressly consents to the registration, and the registering party assumes full responsibility for compliance with these Terms.

3.5. Guardian and Family Verification

3.5.1. MatchBD reserves the right, at any time and at its sole discretion, to contact a User's guardian, parent, or nominated family member in order to confirm the User's identity, marital status, family background, or any other detail provided during registration or profile creation.

3.5.2. By registering, you expressly consent to such contact.

3.5.3. During registration, Users must provide the name, relationship, and contact information of at least one guardian or parent, along with a confirmation that the named person is aware of and consents to the registration.

3.5.4. MatchBD may mandate guardian verification where there are inconsistencies in submitted documents, complaints or reports received, the User registers as currently married, registration is made by a third party, or MatchBD suspects fraud, impersonation, or misrepresentation.

3.5.5. Any contact with a guardian or family member will be limited to the information necessary for verification purposes. MatchBD will not disclose other Members' profiles, chat contents, or payment records to the guardian.

3.5.6. Refusal or failure to cooperate with guardian verification may result in withholding of the verification badge, restriction of certain features, temporary suspension, or permanent termination of the account.

3.5.7. Guardian verification is a supplementary measure only. It does not constitute a warranty of the accuracy of information provided or of the User's character, intentions, or suitability.

3.6. Absolute Discretion

MatchBD reserves the absolute right to refuse, restrict, suspend, or terminate the registration or profile of any person at its sole discretion, without obligation to provide reasons.

4. ACCOUNT REGISTRATION AND VERIFICATION

4.1. You agree to provide information that is accurate, current, complete, and truthful during registration and at all times while using the Platform, including but not limited to your name, age, marital status, religion, educational qualifications, occupation, and photographs.

4.2. MatchBD employs a multi-layer verification process that may include OTP (one-time password) verification, email verification, facial recognition and selfie matching, government-issued identity document verification (National ID, passport, birth certificate, or equivalent), and manual review by the MatchBD verification team.

4.3. A verification badge on a Member's profile indicates that certain data points have been checked against submitted documents. However, a verification badge is not a warranty, endorsement, or guarantee of a Member's character, intentions, financial status, criminal history, or suitability as a life partner. You remain responsible for exercising independent judgment and due diligence.

4.4. You must keep your login credentials confidential. You are responsible for all activity under your account.

4.5. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited. Accounts are personal and may not be transferred, sold, or assigned to another person.

4.6. MatchBD may require re-verification at any time, including after profile edits or upon receipt of complaints.

5. USER CONDUCT AND PROHIBITED ACTIVITIES

5.1. You agree not to:

(a) Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information about your age, marital status, income, education, family background, or any other profile detail. Providing false information is fraud and may result in permanent removal without refund;

(b) Upload photographs that are not of yourself, or that are digitally altered to misrepresent your appearance;

(d) Harass, stalk, threaten, abuse, or intimidate any Member, whether through the Platform or otherwise;

(e) Collect, harvest, or store personal data of other Members for any purpose;

(f) Post or transmit content that is defamatory, obscene, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise objectionable;

(g) Impersonate any person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity;

(h) Use the Platform for prostitution, escort services, or any form of sexual solicitation;

(i) Demand, offer, or negotiate dowry through the Platform. Demanding, offering, or negotiating dowry through the Platform is strictly prohibited and constitutes a criminal offence under the Dowry Prohibition Act, 2018. Violations will result in immediate termination without refund and may be reported to law enforcement;

(j) Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other Users' accounts, or MatchBD's systems;

(k) Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code of the Platform or its algorithms; or

(l) Use the Platform for any purpose that is unlawful, unethical, or inconsistent with the matrimonial purpose of the Service.

6. COMMUNICATION THROUGH THE PLATFORM -- MANDATORY CHANNEL POLICY

Important Notice: If anyone shares their contact number or personal details other than through our chat box, or outside of our policy, the company will not be liable for any incident whatsoever.

6.1. All communication between Members must take place exclusively through the official MatchBD Platform Chat.

6.2. You must not share, solicit, or transmit the following information through any channel other than the Platform Chat: phone numbers, email addresses, social media handles or profile links, residential or workplace addresses, national ID numbers, passport numbers, or other identity document details, or bank account numbers, mobile wallet details, or other financial information.

6.3. If you share your contact number, email, social media handle, or any personal identifying detail with another Member through any channel other than the MatchBD Platform Chat, you do so entirely at your own risk. MatchBD disclaims all liability for any harassment, fraud, financial loss, physical harm, emotional distress, or any other consequence arising from such disclosure.

6.4. MatchBD may review Platform Chat messages in response to a report or complaint, in accordance with its Privacy Policy. Repeated attempts to share contact details outside the Platform Chat, or to circumvent communication restrictions, may result in warnings, feature restrictions, or account termination.

6.5. Platform Chat records are retained by MatchBD for safety, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution purposes, in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

6.6. Permitted Contact Exchange -- Consent-Based

6.6.1. After two Members have been formally matched and a match has been unlocked, either Member may request the other's phone number by tapping the "Request Phone Number" button within the Platform Chat. The other Member will see a consent card with Accept and Decline options. Phone numbers are shared only when the receiving Member taps Accept. Sharing of contact information is entirely voluntary.

6.6.2. A valid contact exchange requires: (a) a formal match through the Platform's matching process; (b) the match to be unlocked; (c) one Member initiating a phone number request via the in-app consent mechanism; (d) the other Member explicitly accepting the request via the consent card; and (e) the exchange to be recorded within the Platform Chat. Phone numbers are never shared automatically or without the explicit Accept action.

6.6.3. Repeatedly requesting a number after a refusal, pressuring, guilt-tripping, or emotionally manipulating another Member into sharing personal contact details is a breach of these Terms and may result in warnings, feature restrictions, or account termination.

6.6.4. A Member may refuse to share their contact number at any time, for any reason, without obligation to explain. A Member may also withdraw consent and request that previously shared contact information no longer be used. The blocking feature is available to immediately cease all communication with another Member.

6.6.5. MatchBD recommends that Members delay sharing personal contact information until a sufficient level of trust has been established through Platform Chat, and that family members be involved in the process.

6.6.6. Once a contact number has been shared and communication moves outside the MatchBD Platform Chat, MatchBD can no longer monitor, screen, protect, or record that communication. Any interaction occurring outside the Platform is solely between the Members and at their own risk.

6.6.7. MatchBD encourages Members to continue using the Platform Chat even after exchanging contact numbers, as Platform Chat provides a protected, recordable channel.

7. MEETINGS AND PHYSICAL INTERACTION -- SAFETY AND LIABILITY

7.1. MatchBD does not arrange, supervise, or attend any meeting between Members. Any decision to meet in person is made solely by the Members involved.

7.2. MatchBD strongly recommends that all meetings take place at busy, public locations during daylight hours, with the knowledge of a family member or trusted person, and ideally with family accompaniment.

7.3. MatchBD may, from time to time, partner with restaurants, gift shops, event management firms, wedding venues, or other businesses ("Onboarded Venues") that agree to maintain certain safety and service standards for Members.

7.4. If any User wishes to meet at a place other than an Onboarded Venue, or at a location not affiliated with MatchBD in any way, the User does so entirely at their own risk. MatchBD shall not be liable for any incident whatsoever, including but not limited to assault, harassment, theft, fraud, accident, kidnapping, or emotional distress arising from such meetings.

7.5. Users are solely responsible for their personal safety when meeting other Members. This includes informing a family member of the meeting details, arranging independent transportation, not leaving food or beverages unattended, never transferring money, valuables, or financial information to another Member, and independently verifying the identity and background of the prospective partner.

7.6. MatchBD does not conduct criminal background checks, medical examinations, or credit checks on Members unless specifically offered as a separate, clearly identified service.

8. NATURE OF THE SERVICE -- NO GUARANTEE OF OUTCOME

8.1. MatchBD is a technology intermediary and facilitation platform. The Company does not guarantee that you will find a suitable match, receive responses to your interest requests, have your interest reciprocated, become engaged or married, or have a lasting or successful relationship.

8.2. The matching engine and AI-assisted suggestions are algorithmic estimates only, probabilistic in nature, and based on limited data. They should not be relied upon as professional advice or as a substitute for independent judgment.

8.3. MatchBD is not a party to any relationship, engagement, betrothal, marriage contract, dowry arrangement, or family negotiation between Members. Any such arrangements are exclusively between the Members and their respective families.

9. FEES AND PAYMENT

9.1. MatchBD Store — Gift Products and Gift Cards

MatchBD operates an online store at matchbd.com/store and authorised retail locations where Members and the general public may purchase:

(a) Gift Products: Physical gift items including rings, jewellery, couple accessories, and other curated wedding and engagement gifts. Gift Products are retail items available to registered MatchBD Members. They are shipped directly to the buyer or a designated recipient.

(b) Gift Cards: Prepaid cards — digital or physical — that, when redeemed within the MatchBD App, activate a corresponding tier of premium features and benefits. Gift Cards are available in the following tiers: Singles, Classic, Premium, Gold, Platinum, and VIP.

Gift Cards are one-time purchases. They are not subscriptions, do not auto-renew, and do not involve recurring billing. Each Gift Card has a validity period; features and benefits expire at the end of this period.

All products and Gift Cards are listed with current pricing, descriptions, and availability at matchbd.com/store.

9.2. Where to Buy

Gift Products and Gift Cards may be purchased through:

(a) MatchBD Online Store (matchbd.com/store): Browse and purchase Gift Products and Gift Cards directly from the MatchBD website. Gift Products are shipped to the delivery address provided. Digital Gift Cards are delivered instantly; physical Gift Cards can be ordered for delivery.

(b) MatchBD Stores and Authorised Partner Gift Shops: Gift Products and Gift Cards are available for purchase at MatchBD-operated retail locations and authorised partner gift shops across Bangladesh. A list of authorised locations is available at matchbd.com/store and within the App.

(c) In-App Redemption: The MatchBD App is used to redeem Gift Card codes and activate the corresponding features. Gift Card codes may be entered in the App regardless of where the Gift Card was purchased. Gift Products do not require in-app redemption.

9.3. Delivery

(a) Gift Products — Physical delivery: Gift Products (rings, jewellery, accessories) purchased from matchbd.com/store are shipped to the delivery address provided. Standard delivery takes seven (7) to ten (10) working days within Bangladesh. Delivery timelines and shipping charges are displayed at checkout. Gift Products purchased at MatchBD retail locations are available for immediate collection.

(b) Gift Cards — Digital delivery (instant): Gift Cards purchased online are delivered instantly via WhatsApp or email to the contact details provided at purchase. Digital Gift Cards contain a unique redemption code that can be entered in the App immediately.

(c) Gift Cards — Physical delivery (7-10 working days): Physical Gift Cards are available at MatchBD stores and partner gift shops for immediate purchase, or can be ordered online for delivery within seven (7) to ten (10) working days to the address provided. Physical Gift Cards contain a printed redemption code.

(d) Gifts for others: Both Gift Products and Gift Cards may be purchased as gifts for another person. For Gift Cards, the recipient must have a registered MatchBD account to redeem the code. The purchaser is responsible for providing accurate delivery details.

9.4. What a Gift Card Provides

When a Gift Card is redeemed, the User receives:

Match numbers for unlocking accepted matches (1 match number per normal unlock, 2 match numbers per priority unlock)
Priority Interest allocations for sending highlighted match requests
Profile Boosts for 24-hour placement at the top of the discover feed (Gold tier and above)
VIP Tag for badge visibility on profile (Gold tier and above)

The specific match numbers and features included in each Gift Card tier are detailed on the pricing page at matchbd.com/store and within the App, which forms part of these Terms.

9.5. Match Request and Unlock Model

(a) Sending match requests is free. All Users may send match requests at no cost, subject to the Daily Send Limit configured by MatchBD.

(b) Accepting match requests is free. The receiver never pays to accept or decline a request.

(c) Free Match Limit. Each User receives a number of free match unlocks (the "Free Match Limit"), as configured by MatchBD. The first accepted matches within this limit are unlocked automatically at no cost.

(d) Paid unlocks beyond the Free Match Limit. When a User's accepted matches exceed the Free Match Limit, additional accepted matches are locked until the User redeems a Gift Card. Locked matches are unlocked in strict chronological order (oldest accepted first). The User cannot choose which locked match to unlock first.

(e) Match numbers are consumed only when an accepted match is unlocked. Declined and expired requests cost nothing. No match numbers are charged when sending a request.

9.6. Match Request Expiration

Pending match requests expire after thirty (30) days if the receiver does not respond. Expired requests incur no cost to the sender. Warning notifications are sent at seven (7) days and three (3) days before expiration.

9.7. Current Pricing

Current pricing for all Gift Card tiers is displayed at matchbd.com/store and within the App. All prices are quoted in Bangladeshi Taka (BDT). The price applicable to any transaction is the price displayed at the moment you complete the transaction and will be confirmed before payment is processed.

9.8. Price Changes

MatchBD may revise Gift Card pricing, modify tier contents, or discontinue Gift Card tiers at any time without prior notice. Any such change will not affect Gift Cards already purchased and redeemed at the time of the change.

9.9. External Pricing

Any pricing quoted outside of matchbd.com/store or the App (including on third-party websites, social media, or by agents) is indicative only. In the event of any discrepancy, the price displayed at matchbd.com/store or in the App prevails.

9.10. Payment Methods

Payments for Gift Cards may be made through the channels displayed at checkout, which may include Nagad, bKash, SSLCommerz, credit/debit cards, and cash (at physical store locations). MatchBD accepts no liability for payments made to any personal account, unofficial channel, or third party claiming to represent MatchBD.

9.11. Taxes

All prices are exclusive of Value Added Tax (VAT) unless explicitly stated otherwise. Any applicable taxes will be added at the prevailing statutory rate.

9.12. Non-Transferability

Redeemed Gift Card benefits (match numbers, Priority Interest allocations, Profile Boosts, VIP Tag) are personal to the redeeming User's account and may not be transferred to another account. Unredeemed Gift Cards may be gifted to another person (see Section 9.3(c)).

9.13. Refunds

All Gift Card purchases are final and non-refundable. Refunds and credits are governed by the separate Refund and Credit Policy document, available within the App and at matchbd.com.

9.14. Gift Card Validity and Expiration

Gift Cards must be redeemed within the validity period printed on the card or specified at the time of purchase. Once redeemed, the activated features expire at the end of the tier's validity period. When a redeemed Gift Card's validity expires, all unused match numbers, Priority Interest allocations, and Profile Boosts are forfeited. Warning notifications are sent before expiration.

10. PRIVACY AND DATA PROTECTION

10.1. Your use of the Platform is governed by the MatchBD Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By registering, you consent to the collection, processing, and use of your personal data as described in the Privacy Policy.

10.2. You acknowledge that information you voluntarily disclose on your profile or in Platform Chat becomes accessible to other Members and is beyond MatchBD's control once viewed or shared.

11. CONTENT AND INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

11.1. You retain ownership of the Content you upload to the Platform. By uploading Content, you grant MatchBD a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable licence to host, store, reproduce, adapt, modify, and display such Content solely for the purposes of operating, promoting, and improving the Services.

11.2. You warrant that you own or have the necessary rights to all Content you upload, and that such Content does not infringe any third party's intellectual property rights, privacy rights, or other legal rights.

11.3. MatchBD may remove any Content at its sole discretion, without prior notice, if it believes the Content violates these Terms or applicable law.

11.4. Use of Member success stories or testimonials for promotional purposes requires the express prior written consent of the Members involved, which may be withdrawn at any time upon reasonable notice.

11.5. MatchBD owns all trademarks, trade names, logos, source code, algorithms, data models, user interface designs, and other proprietary materials associated with the Platform, which are protected under applicable copyright and trademark laws of Bangladesh.

12. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES AND VENUES

12.1. The Platform may integrate or link to third-party services, including payment gateways, identity verification providers, and Onboarded Venues. MatchBD does not control, endorse, or accept responsibility for the content, policies, practices, or performance of any third-party service.

12.2. Any transaction between a User and a third-party service provider occurs solely between those parties. MatchBD is not a party to such transactions and bears no liability arising from them.

12.3. Onboarded Venues are independent businesses. No employment, partnership, agency, or joint venture relationship exists between MatchBD and any Onboarded Venue.

13. DISCLAIMER OF WARRANTIES

13.1. The Platform and Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, or statutory, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

13.2. MatchBD does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, timely, error-free, or secure, that defects will be corrected, or that the Platform or the servers that host it are free of viruses or other harmful components.

13.3. MatchBD may suspend access to the Platform temporarily for scheduled or unscheduled maintenance, system upgrades, or unforeseen technical issues, without liability.

14. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

14.1. To the maximum extent permitted by the laws of Bangladesh, MatchBD, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of goodwill, emotional distress, reputational harm, or loss of data, arising from or in connection with your use of the Platform.

14.2. MatchBD shall not be liable for any incident whatsoever arising from off-platform communication or disclosure of personal information, meetings between Members outside of Onboarded Venues, or interactions between Members that occur beyond the Platform's control.

14.3. MatchBD's aggregate liability to any User for all claims arising from or related to these Terms or the use of the Platform shall not exceed the total amount actually paid by that User to MatchBD in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim, or BDT 10,000 (ten thousand Bangladeshi Taka), whichever is lower.

14.4. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by proven negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any liability that cannot be lawfully excluded under the laws of Bangladesh.

15. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless MatchBD, its directors, officers, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any and all claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including legal fees) arising from or related to your breach of these Terms, any false, misleading, or fraudulent information provided by you, any Content you upload or transmit through the Platform, your interactions with other Members, whether on or off the Platform, or any third-party claim resulting from your conduct on the Platform.

16. SUSPENSION AND TERMINATION

16.1. By You

You may deactivate your account at any time through the Platform settings. You may also request permanent deletion of your account and associated data by contacting info@matchbd.com. Upon permanent deletion, your profile data, photographs, identity documents, and chat history will be permanently removed in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Neither deactivation nor deletion entitles you to any refund of fees paid or match numbers remaining.

16.2. By MatchBD

MatchBD may suspend or terminate your account immediately, with or without prior notice, if MatchBD reasonably believes that you have breached any provision of these Terms, you have provided false, misleading, or fraudulent information, your conduct poses a risk to other Members or to the integrity of the Platform, you are using the Platform for unlawful purposes, credible complaints have been received from other Members, or your continued use of the Platform poses a reputational risk to MatchBD. Additionally, MatchBD may automatically suspend a User's account when three (3) or more reports are received from different Members against the same profile, pending administrative review.

16.3. Effect of Termination for Breach

Termination of your account for breach of these Terms will result in the forfeiture of all remaining entitlements, unused match numbers, Package benefits, and Gift Card balances, without compensation.

16.4. Survival

The following provisions survive termination of your account: limitation of liability, indemnity, intellectual property, dispute resolution, and governing law.

17. COMPLAINTS, REPORTING, AND GRIEVANCE REDRESSAL

17.1. Any Member may report suspicious, abusive, fraudulent, or unlawful behaviour by another Member using the in-app Report function or by emailing info@matchbd.com. Reports may include a predefined reason, optional screenshots, and a freeform description.

17.2. MatchBD will acknowledge receipt of a complaint within three (3) working days and will endeavour to investigate and resolve the matter within fifteen (15) working days. Complex cases may require additional time, and the reporting Member will be kept informed of progress.

17.3. If a matter involves criminal conduct, Users should report directly to the Bangladesh Police (emergency: 999) or the Cyber Crime Unit. MatchBD will cooperate with law enforcement authorities as required by law.

18. FORCE MAJEURE

MatchBD shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performance of its obligations under these Terms caused by events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, epidemics, pandemics, war, civil unrest, terrorism, government actions or sanctions, strikes or labour disputes, failure of third-party services (including payment gateways, cloud infrastructure, or telecommunications), and prolonged power outages or internet disruptions.

19. DISPUTE RESOLUTION AND GOVERNING LAW

19.1. These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.

19.2. Any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms shall first be referred to good-faith negotiation between the parties. The aggrieved party shall send a written notice to the other party describing the dispute, and the parties shall attempt to resolve the matter amicably within thirty (30) days.

19.3. If the dispute is not resolved through negotiation, it shall be referred to and finally settled by arbitration under the Arbitration Act, 2001, before a sole arbitrator mutually agreed upon by the parties, with the seat of arbitration in Dhaka.

19.4. These Terms are published in English and Bengali. In the event of any inconsistency between the two versions, the English version shall prevail.

19.5. Disputes between Members regarding engagement, marriage, dowry, family matters, or property are private matters between those Members and their families. MatchBD is not a party to such disputes and bears no responsibility for their resolution.

20. GENERAL PROVISIONS

20.1. Amendments. MatchBD may amend these Terms at any time. Material changes will be notified to Users at least seven (7) days before taking effect. Continued use of the Platform after such notice constitutes acceptance of the amended Terms.

20.2. Severability. If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, that provision shall be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid and enforceable, or severed if modification is not possible. All remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.

20.3. Waiver. The failure of MatchBD to enforce any right or provision of these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.

20.4. Assignment. You may not assign or transfer any of your rights or obligations under these Terms without MatchBD's prior written consent. MatchBD may assign its rights and obligations to a successor entity in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets.

20.5. Entire Agreement. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, Refund and Credit Policy, Community Guidelines, and the pricing page within the App, constitute the entire agreement between you and MatchBD regarding your use of the Platform, superseding all prior agreements and understandings.

You acknowledge that MatchBD is a facilitation platform only and does not guarantee any particular outcome, and that you are solely responsible for your interactions with other Members.
